Are You Being Decieved Into Slavery?
True freedom is found within absolute truth. Is the principle of your life founded on a lie? A lie lasts only a moment but the truth endures forever. Naturally people will believe what they want to believe. They believe that they have the right answers within themselves. A knowledge of spirituality or a way to personal freedom. Ever since the dawn of creation, everyone born into this world has been continually socially conditioned, individually moulded by their surroundings. Through peer pressure, dead traditions, ideologies, the media and political persuasions. A lifetime of Ideas and beliefs being drawn from an imperfect world, are in themselves imperfect, tainted and inaccurate. Your time then in this world represents a continuous string of flawed personal experiences. Blinded from birth by your environment what do you really see? what do you really know? If someone gave you the truth would you be able to recognise it? would you be able to receive it?
Following rules and regulations alone can never set you free
Worldly religions try to convince us there is no corruption and no sin. This is an obvious lie as the world around us is corrupt to the core (death and corruption is systemic and a direct consequence of sin). Sin is a disease that needs to be cured. Worldly religions tell us that by following an organisation and obeying outward rules alone we can be justified, this is a lie. Sin is a spiritual problem and trying to tackle and solve a spiritual problem with a physical solution is impossible. its like a person with a brain bleed being told if they rub healing cream on the outside of the head long enough they will eventually get better. The cream can never heal the root problem or stem the leak. It will never heal them or make them whole on the inside of their brain. It is impossible for outward laws and regulations alone to change you on the inside or make you a better person.
If you do not believe in God then you must worship and believe in something else as if it were a god. Trying to fill an empty void in soul and spirit the spiritually blind person, separated from God through the decietfulness of sin will naturally worship the creation (Things of and in the world) rather than it's creator. We see this in the world every day an unbeliever naturally worships himself their job, car, house a person, false deity or false god of some sort.
Galatians 4, 8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
These everyday objects and things only become gods because the believer surrenders themselves and there time to serve them. The devil is the father of all lies a master deceiver.
John 8, 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Nearly everything that our good God created in the world has been perverted corrupted or twisted in some way by man. From things worshiped and made by the hands of men to false religions, social stimulants, (drugs) music and technology all of these things replicate and pervert in some way the things of heaven. But without God without agape love or real substance without real power and without true spiritual gifts. Those who reject Jesus Christ in their souls reject true sovereign power and the real blessings of God.
Colossians 2, 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Those who reject Jesus Christ, can only ever follow after false riches, false freedom, false powers, false pleasures, false gods. satan controls the unbelievers unrepentant and blind heart by tricking the unbeliever they are already free. Through Christ denial they unwittingly surrender their free will to satan becoming slaves of sin. The unbeliever is then taken captive by satan to do his will and not their own. As the helpless slaves of sin and the devil. The unbeliever, reveals their true spiritual fallen state, by being easily offended, resentful of others, easily angered or violent, rebellious, hating truth, totally self centred and proud, displaying an unquenchable thirst for self gratification and the need for personal satisfaction weather mental, material or sexual. None of these attributes represent real freedom as the sinner is bound to them and cannot stop the works of them.
Titus 3, 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
In truth the sinful fallen flesh can never be satisfied and will always be at enmity with God (The enemy of God). The only power the devil has is to deceive us and distract and the power we surrender to him in our obedience to his lies. As long as the unbeliever remains unrepentant and denies Jesus Christ as Lord the enemy has power over them. His motive to rob and reign in the unbelievers heart through the deceitfulness of sin. Jesus through his blood sacrifice and death at Calvary and by his resurrection, utterly defeated satan destroying his power and hold over those who follow him as their Lord in spirit and in truth. A Christian does not walk towards victory but from victory!
Romans 6, 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Colossians 2, 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
satan hides within the glitter and vanity of this world, in it’s false freedom’s and temporary shallow reward. The world newspapers show that often the pursuit of these things ends with an early death, mental illness's, ill heath and disease and will always end in eternal separation from our heavenly father (sovereign creator). The bible say’s,
Romans 6, 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The devil knows that if he can sugar coat the poison pill of sin and death and deliver this to the spiritually blind person (Those who deny Christ as their Lord) they will not only swallow it but come back for more time and time again. Does that sound like your life?
Revelation 20, 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Time and time again sinners reject the true freedom and saving power, joy and real satisfaction of knowing there loving father through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Psalm 16, 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
God has given man a FREE WILL. By nature we are born sinners children of wrath and disobediance. It's our choice to serve God through faith in Jesus Christ or the devil through the deceitfulness of sin. Only when we repent of OUR SINS and surrender our hearts to God through Jesus Christ can God begin the work on the inside of a soul. Shining his light on the inside through his living word, showing us what and who we really are, thus delivering us from ourselves. Then and only then can we begin to heal and be restored, set free, forgiven, saving us by bringing us back into a personal relationship with him.
Will you continue to be deceived? Not truly living, Merely existing in sin and death? Moving from one defeat to the next? To deny, Jesus as Lord is to deny, real life, real joy, real freedom. Will you give your life to God through Jesus Christ? He gave his life for you. If you would repent of your sins and follow him you will receive true life and real victory through the cross. A worldly choice only goes so far, Jesus wants to give you a real chance. A chance to be saved from self and sin to be free from the curse of death and the law and receive life eternal (See home page)
2 Peter 3, 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance

Light

Sermon By Sheldon Ray Ministries 2010
What is light? “Light is an energy a force and a power” Light travels in waves it’s an ever-moving form, known as travelling energy. When an ocean wave moves, it is not the water that actually moves but an invisible energy passing through the water using only the water as a medium to display its presence. Light waves are a little more complicated, and they do not need a medium to travel through they exist independently. Light is a pure form of energy known as electromagnetic radiation. Light can independently travel through the vacuum of space and needs no secondary medium to display itself like water or air. Light travels only ever outwards in straight lines directly from its source. Lets see what the bible tells us about light. The bible says,
Psalm 119, 105Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
The word of God (The Bible) is a light unto our path, it is a temporal physical representation of a living spiritual manifestation that dwells in absolute truth. The bible is our heavenly inspired and God given direction. The explanation of life the answers to it's meaning, and the solutions to the sinful human condition are contained therein. From Genesis to Revelation the bible is a complete and exact account of Gods purpose and plan, his will for mankind. To those who are called by God, who are faithful and seek, pursue and obey his word, the word of God is not just a way of life, but it is life, God is able to impart more abundantly the essence of life itself in us through it. It is as the bible say's, the bread of life. As believers grow in faith through the word they also become a beacon for others through that self same word.
John 1:1-5, 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Genesis 1: 3 - 4, 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
God makes it clear to us from the beginning of the bible that his authority and power over all things is absolute. The bible tells us that the word is quick and sharp and more powerful that any two-edged sword. The God of the bible is the most high and there is no other like him. He is in truth the King of all Kings and his sovereign rights give him solely the pre-eminence over all things. He should then be pre-eminent in our lives also. Jesus will return soon, and when he does he will judge and destroy everything that exalts itself above God. So we see that the bible tells us that God created Light, God is the source originator and creator of light. If anyone doubts God’s existence then they should also doubt the light that they can plainly see all around them everyday. The bible tells us that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.
Psalm 27,1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
These wonderful words written by the psalmist David speak of the tremendous confidence David had in God’s ability and absolute authority. Light is something that those who have the ability to see put there full trust and confidence in. David had seen God in his spirit. Knowing who God was and what he had done gave David the ability to trust his heavenly father. Light then is not only our guide but our protection light gives assurance of our direction and illuminates our path giving us the confidence to know that we will obtain and reach our destination in complete safety. Jesus himself drew direct comparison between the spiritual light and darkness and the physical light and darkness he explained in,
John 11: 9-10, 9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. 10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
So then we see in the bible comparisons being made between light and darkness. Jesus mentions at the end of verse 10 that the man stumbleth because there is no light in him. To receive light in you, you need the correct equipment to see that light. God has given us physical eyes to see the temporal light. We need spiritual sight to see the things of heaven and of God. Darkness represents folly or foolishness, shrouds a hidden evil or harm, consumes a persons life deceiving them making them believe that there is no other better way, convincing them to believe in a lie, depriving a person of the true light and sight stealing from them their birthright to enjoy the fullness and goodness of God. Light represents truth, vision, sight transparency, wisdom, clarity of thought, understanding, health and goodness. The bible says,
Luke 1 :78-79, 78Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Physical darkness envelopes and encloses, oppresses and suppresses encircles and shrouds. Spiritual darkness is a subversive undercurrent, crafty and subtle, it sweeps away billions of souls in its obscure deceitful grasp. Tearing away at the hearts of men ripping them away from the truth and life itself. The existence of our civilisation is left shipwrecked in the wake of darks path. Light lifts and opens up, invigorates and reveals, expands and frees and gives life. We see in these two entities two very opposite attributes, we also see the embodiment of two very different masters, both sin and righteousness. Many people believe that there is no evil, that there is no darkness that all things are good and are to be enjoyed if it brings pleasure to the participant. They say it must be all-good if we enjoy it. This is a very popular hedonistic belief amongst those who are perishing in darkness and sin.
You see if the enemy can get the unbeliever so lost in himself wrapt up in his or her own self gratification and obsession for pleasure. Preoccupied with the cares of this world and the pleasures of this life the needs of this life the wants of this life. Always only ever looking inwards and downwards and never outwards and upwards to their creator. So concerned for his or hers own ways and rights, Then Gods ways and rights will mean nothing to them. You may say to yourself why shouldn’t I look after myself and take care of myself giving in to every whim and pleasure for myself seems perfectly natural. It is perfectly natural for a man or woman born in sin and darkness, to die in those sins. Naturally ignorant of the darkness that is separating them from a very real true and living God. Ultimately a lifetime of separation from the light and life of God brings eternal death. The bible says the wages of sin is death, This is why we need a light a blessed gospel light.
2 Corinthians 4, 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Light reveals all that is cast upon it. In truth there are only two absolutes light and darkness, Truth and untruth, Jesus is the Light because he is all truth and all righteousness. He transcends our every care and problem there is nothing hidden from him that he does not know nor revealed. However all that light is, Both physical and spiritual and all that it does and all of its power to reveal truth cannot truly be appreciated or acknowledged by a man who is born Physically and or Spiritually blind. Light often generates heat and that heat can be felt by even a blind person. If such a one refuses to acknowledge the existence of the truths radiant heat then they knowingly deceive themselves.
John 3, 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
Jesus Christ’s Immaculate Conception, birth, spirit led walk obedient life and death. Bring into perspective both the divine eternal and the physical temporal realities of Jesus Christ’s mission and existence in this world. Jesus’ in his physical form lived was crucified and died as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus’ eternal yet invisible spirit and soul dwelt and walked in heavenly places with his father, though his physical appearance allured to him being Just a man. The irrefutable unarguable historical truth about his works deeds and miracles are a testimony to the fact, that Jesus Christ was also very much God. God The father lives in heaven where there is no night and no darkness. The bible tells us, In God himself there is no shadow of turning. There is no sun in heaven to give light, but God himself is the light of Heaven and Jesus the word is the light of men
John 12,46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. John 8, 12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Becoming a Christian is not just about attending church services or being a do-gooder. To become a true Christian a person must be changed and transformed from within, the bible tells us, that we are new creatures in Christ. The bible tells us that Christians are the true light of this world, then as we live through Christ we will reflect exactly the light and life that Jesus lived and portrayed. Jesus was connected to the heavenly source in his spirit through the spirit of truth the Holy Spirit. We also must receive Gods Spirit through repentance and obey the light of Gods word, if we want to be connected to the heavenly source. The very word Christian is derived from being Christ Like, living and walking in the likeness of Christ. Jesus himself was not born by the will of a man nor the will of the flesh but of God. If we are to be Christ like then we have to be born not only of the flesh and the will of man but born again in the spirit and the will of God. So that truly God can receive us as sons and daughters in all holiness and consecration to him. That the light and peace of God and his son and spirit may shine with all brightness in our hearts and lives. Walking then as children of the day and not as children of the night.

The Dangers Of Compromise and Denial
We live in a modern age of humanism and political correctness, where human rights come before Gods rights. A so called 'new age' of social secular, hedonistic, materialistic and religeous inclusivness (2nd Timothy 4, 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;). A false worldly wisdom (which is actually foolishenss 1stCorinthians 3, 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.) where absolute truth is seen as extremism and fundamentalism. A world where the general consensus is that all paths lead to God (Proverbs 16, 25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.)and if it feels good do it (James 3, 15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.) This worldly and vain philosophy is deceptive and sets up itself, as a false light. An age where many believe that knowone is wrong and everyone is right (Mathew 7, 3 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:).
In the name of false peace, peace without Jesus Christ ( John 14, 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.). Governments around the world blindly follow this current 'new age' philosophy passing laws that often constrict the true liberating power of the gospel of Jesus Christ (The Cure For Mankinds Sinful Fallen State, Corruption In The World, read the home page). Many of these new laws actually create more division chaos and wars amoung the peoples of the world. Some church leaders and organisations then foolishly compromise the true gospel, becoming false teachers in doing so,(Galatians 1, 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.)
(1st Corinthians 2, 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.) those who embrace current worldly socialogical trends. So as to appear inclusive to all, to be accepted by this world are in terrible danger. Paul Washer tackles some of these issues.
